How to Import Reckon Accounts Hosted Data into SQL Server using SSIS

Easily back up Reckon Accounts Hosted data to SQL Server using the SSIS components for Reckon Accounts Hosted.

Using SQL Server as a backup for critical business data provides an essential safety net against loss. Backing up data to SQL Server enables business users to more easily connect that data with features like reporting, analytics, and more.

This example demonstrates how to use the CData SSIS Tasks for Reckon Accounts Hosted inside of a SQL Server SSIS workflow to transfer Reckon Accounts Hosted data into a Microsoft SQL Server database.

Add the Components

To get started, add a new Reckon Accounts Hosted source and SQL Server ADO.NET destination to a new data flow task.

Create a New Connection Manager

Follow the steps below to save Reckon Accounts Hosted connection properties in a connection manager.

  1. In the Connection Manager window, right-click and then click New Connection. The Add SSIS Connection Manager dialog is displayed.
  2. In the Connection Manager type menu, select ReckonAccountsHosted. The CData Reckon Accounts Hosted Connection Manager is displayed.
  3. Configure connection properties.

The connector makes requests to Reckon Accounts Hosted through OAuth. Specify the following connection properties:

    • SubscriptionKey: Required. You get this value when you created your developer account.
    • CountryVersion: Defaults to 2021.R2.AU.
    • CompanyFile: Required. The path to the company file.
    • User: Required. The username of the company file.
    • Password: Required. The password of the company file.
    • InitiateOAuth: Set this to GETANDREFRESH to let the driver handle access tokens.
    • CallbackURL: The redirectURI of your Custom OAuth App.
    • OAuthClientId: The client id of your Custom OAuth App.
    • OAuthClientSecret: The client secret of your Custom OAuth App.

CData provides an embedded OAuth application that simplifies OAuth desktop authentication. See the Help documentation for information on other OAuth authentication methods (web, headless, etc.), creating custom OAuth applications, and reasons for doing so.
