This position will join our India team, operating out of our Bangalore office where we have nearly 100 team members.

Role Description:

As a Software Engineer II/III at CData, you will play a pivotal role in building software applications for our suite of products. You'll be an integral part of our agile development process, contributing primarily to back-end engineering. Your expertise will transform technology into user-friendly, functional software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to devise innovative solutions for product design.
  • Design and develop software solutions using Java in a microservice architecture.
  • Engage fully in sprint planning, sizing, and estimating processes, daily stand-up meetings, and retrospectives.
  • Write unit tests and debug code to ensure robustness and reliability.
  • Research & present on technologies applicable to the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.

Experience & Skills:

  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming & tooling in Java.
  • Strong knowledge of Java Core, J2EE, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, JUnit.
  • Experience with relational databases, SQL & query writing with MSSQL, PostgreSQL.
  • Demonstrated excellence in troubleshooting, debugging and data performance tuning.
  • Experience in development of automated unit and integration testing.
  • Familiarity with development tools including IntelliJ/VS Code, Git, Azure DevOps, and Jira.
  • Experience with design concepts such as microservice architecture, RESTful/Web APIs, and general design patterns.
  • Nice to have: Azure, Docker, Kubernetes experience.
  • Nice to have: Worked with and built web applications using TypeScript and React.
  • Nice to have: Worked with C#.
