This position will join our India team, operating out of our Bangalore office where we have nearly 100 team members.

Technical Marketing Engineer

As a Technical Marketing Engineer, you work cross-functionally to create technical content for (Data products and solutions that are targeted to Customers, Field Tech Teams, and Partners. The engineer will work closely with Product and Product Marketing on the company's current and future strategies related to their specific area of technical expertise. You may also work closely with third-party vendor organizations as required to achieve corporate goals regarding product integration and best practices.

What we will do: 

  • Spend 3-6 months working part-time with the Technical Support team in order to better understand the products and customer-base (see additional responsibilities below).
  • Develop the technical content marketing strategy to drive thought leadership and customer acquisition at Data.
  • Develop product demo videos, tutorials, and documentation to support self-serve sign-up, onboarding and adoption.
  • Create technical blogs, white papers, presentations, videos and demonstrations for our data connectivity and integration solutions.
  • Support product launch activities and assist with trade shows, conferences, and technical Sales Training.
  • Simplify and communicate reference architecture and product portfolio marketecture.
  • Partner closely with product marketing and campaign owners to develop high-quality technical content to deliver on the campaign goals.
  • Respond to customer or field inquiries and work with a cross-functional team of PMs, SEs, Engineers as required.

Part-time Technical Support responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical support engineering across all product lines via email, chat and phone.
  • Setup test environments (including Windows, Linux, and Mac) and tools to match customer use cases to help troubleshoot issues.
  • Escalate ongoing support issues to higher management in the Technical Support Department.
  • Report issues in our ticketing reporting system, test fixes, and update customers accordingly.
  • Provide well-written, thorough responses to customers, adapting your language to their technical level.
  • Troubleshoot data integration issues for our 250+ drivers.
  • You will help create and add to knowledgebase articles, troubleshooting guides, FAQ's, and other support collateral.

What we look for: 

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required; 6 to 8 years of experience preferred.
  • Capability to create content and manage multiple cross-functional content initiatives.
  • Advanced proficiency in coding and scripting languages, such as SQL, Java, C, and .NET.
  • Driven, with an entrepreneurial spirit and a sense of Must be resourceful and proactive.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills; including improving presentation skills.
  • Proven experience in content creation-including blog posts, decks, videos, demos, and reference architectures.
  • Ability to contribute to delivery of training materials and/or other group communications in a clear and professional manner.
  • Ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation.
  • A self-starter with proven ability to work in a fast-paced software scale-up environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
