Join Us Live: The Connect AI Q1 Showcase

Connect AI Q1 Showcase

On April 16th at 1 PM ET, the Connect AI product team will host a live showcase demonstrating everything delivered in the Q1 Connect AI release. Rather than a traditional slide presentation, the session focuses on building each capability directly in the product environment.

Mike Albritton, SVP, Cloud at CData, explores real workflows and architectural patterns using the new capabilities released for Connect AI. Every feature will be demonstrated live, followed by an open Q&A where attendees can ask the product team detailed questions.

What the live showcase will cover

During the session, the team will demonstrate how the newest capabilities function in real enterprise environments.

Custom MCP tools and toolkits

Custom MCP tools define exactly what data and actions an agent can access without exposing non-deterministic exploration tools or entire data models. The session will demonstrate how teams can create purpose-built tools for AI agents using Custom MCP Tools.

Using Workspaces and Toolkits, Connect AI users can scope tools to specific teams or workflows and publish governed MCP endpoints tailored to each use case. This approach provides precise control over how AI systems interact with enterprise data.

Connect gateway for on-premises data access

Many organizations operate critical systems like SAP, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL outside of the public cloud, often on-premises or inside private networks. The showcase will demonstrate how to configure the Connect Gateway to enable secure connectivity to these environments that most cloud-based AI platforms can’t reach, governed through the same managed layer already used for cloud systems.

The Gateway runs as a lightweight agent within an organization's infrastructure and establishes a secure, outbound-only connection to Connect AI with no inbound firewall rules, no VPN, and no exposed ports.

SCIM 2.0 for automated identity lifecycle management

The Q1 release also introduces SCIM 2.0 support for automated identity provisioning and deprovisioning. During this demo, the team will show how user access can be synchronized directly from identity providers such as Okta, Azure AD, and Ping Identity.

This capability fully supports compliance requirements for frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001 by ensuring that access is provisioned and revoked automatically.

Why attend the session live

Reading about new features is great but watching them used in a real environment provides a clearer understanding of how they fit into an enterprise AI infrastructure. During the live session, you’ll be able to:

  1. Ask questions directly to the Connect AI product team during the live Q&A

  2. See how new capabilities behave within realistic enterprise workflows

  3. Evaluate which features apply to your environment before the next architecture planning cycle

  4. Receive access to supporting documentation and trial resources shared during the session

Even organizations early in their AI adoption journey can use the showcase to understand how a managed MCP platform supports production AI deployments.

About CData Connect AI

CData Connect AI is the first managed MCP platform built for enterprise AI. It delivers live, governed access to 350+ data sources—databases, SaaS apps, ERPs, and APIs—through a standardized relational interface. It closes three critical gaps: Connectivity with real-time, in-place data access and full read/write capabilities; Context through semantic intelligence so AI understands your business terms and data relationships; and Control via passthrough authentication, audit trails, and policy enforcement. The result is AI that can act on your enterprise data—securely, accurately, and at scale.
