As part of its Q2 2025 release, CData Sync now supports open mirroring for Microsoft Fabric, giving data teams a powerful new way to replicate source data into Fabric in near real time.
This complements Sync’s existing support for delivering Parquet, Avro, or CSV files into OneLake.
With this release, Sync becomes one of the few integration tools that support multiple ingestion patterns into Fabric, offering full control over cost, latency, format, and freshness. These options are not available elsewhere in the data integration market or Microsoft-native tools alone.
Broadest support for OneLake data ingestion
Microsoft Fabric provides a unified data foundation in OneLake. But organizations often need flexibility in how data lands. CData Sync now delivers two distinct options:
- Open mirroring (new): Incrementally replicate data into Fabric-managed Delta Lake tables with high freshness and performance. This method is ideal for analytics-ready dashboards and near real-time reporting.
- File-based delivery (existing): Write Parquet, Avro, or CSV files to OneLake for archival, data science workflows, or downstream transformation pipelines.
By offering both approaches in a single platform, Sync lets teams align data delivery methods to the needs of each workload without the burden of managing multiple tools or vendors.
When to use mirroring vs. file-based delivery
Each method has its place in a well-structured data strategy. Sync gives you the ability to choose the best fit for each use case.
