Introducing the CData Arc Q1 2025 Version Release

Arc Q1 2025

The first CData Arc update of 2025 has arrived, bringing powerful new capabilities to enhance trading partner management, expand connectivity options, and strengthen security features. This release continues our commitment to providing the most user-friendly and comprehensive EDI and file transfer integration platform available.

Let's explore the key highlights of this release:

Enhanced trading partner management experience

Last quarter, we unveiled our central Trading Partner Management Console to give customers the ability to organize communications by trading partners. Customers have been using this feature to accelerate customer and supplier onboarding timelines and establish central visibility into the supply chain organized by a trading partner. We’re building on this capability in our current Q1 2025 release, by introducing end-to-end workflow testing capabilities directly within the Trading Partner Management Console.

This new feature allows organizations to thoroughly test workflows with trading partners before deployment and validate integration accuracy in real time. Overall, this helps our customers minimize costly integration errors and ensure reliable communications with their trading partners, thereby building stronger relationships with suppliers and customers.

These improvements help streamline the integration testing process and provide greater trust and confidence in your supply chain communications.

Expanded connectivity and format support

The connectors in CData Arc are central to our users’ workflow design experience, so we are continuously making improvements to their performance, usability, and breadth of functionality. This quarter, we’ve significantly enhanced our connectivity library with several important updates, including intelligent grouping of line items by master key in the newly added XML Group connector. We’ve also made performance and visibility improvements across the board, with special attention given to the platform’s Split and SFTP Server connectors based on customer feedback.

We are excited to announce our new dedicated label connector for ZPL shipping label output. Now, customers can leverage data from backend systems and trading partner communications to automatically build customized shipping labels.

These enhancements enable faster development cycles and more flexible integration options to meet your business requirements.

Enterprise-grade security enhancements

Security is a top priority for CData Arc, and this release introduces two important features to Arc’s security profile:

  • Native two-factor authentication (2FA) support: We’ve eliminated the need for external IDPs to secure your mission-critical integrations, by building multi-factor authentication directly into the application.
  • Extended Arc Key Vault integration: CData’s Key Vault feature is now available within the Profile module, to secure sensitive data across the application.

These security features have been widely requested by our customers and provide the robust information security and governance needed for enterprise-grade file and backend integrations.

EU compliance and regional support

CData Arc serves a significant customer base in Europe, particularly with the growing prevalence of the AS4 protocol in the EU as a means of business-to-business communication and regulatory reporting. With our Q1 2025 release, we are building on the platform’s support for our European customers’ unique needs, including support for the latest EU e-delivery standards: AS4, ENTSOG V4, and ZUGFeRD.

Additionally, we are providing EU customers with dedicated EU hosting options in Arc Cloud. Customers can request our support team to shift hosting to the EU. This allows European Arc customers to leverage the flexibility and scalability of our cloud and remain compliant with GDPR data residency requirements. These additions ensure seamless regulatory compliance for organizations operating in the EU market.

Migration utilities for legacy platforms

We are proud to bring our customers the most streamlined, powerful solution in the market to handle file integrations, EDI communications and integration with backend systems. This quarter, we are introducing the ability to easily migrate from legacy solutions and modernize your file integrations. Specifically, we are introducing a migration automation utility for Dell Boomi transitions into CData Arc, as well as improvements to our existing IBM Sterling migration utility.

These tools make it easier than ever to accelerate partner onboarding times, future-proof your integrations with API and file transfer support and increase operational efficiency by moving to CData Arc.
