We're excited to announce the Q2 2025 release of CData Arc, delivering significant enhancements to our EDI document processing capabilities, connectivity, and platform governance. This release introduces powerful enhancements to enable deeper API integration, metadata-aware document routing, and Python-based scripting for customization of workflows.
Greater EDI visibility and control
With this release of Arc, customers can now leverage EDI document metadata directly within Arc workflows through the Branch Connector. This allows intelligent metadata tracking, enabling sophisticated routing and processing rules based on document content. EDI connectors also feature automated duplicate checking to prevent transaction inconsistencies with trading partners.
This release enables closer integration and routing between the Trading Partner Management Console and EDI page document workflows, through the Workspace Send and Workspace Receive connectors. This allows users to work flexibly across platform modules to design EDI workflows more quickly and efficiently.
Enhanced connectors for API integration, label creation, and database connectivity
This release brings several enhancements to CData Arc connectors, including:
- Modern REST API integration, with Swagger import functionality for the REST connector, dedicated authentication support panel for APIs, and built-in testing to ensure successful API connectivity. These improvements dramatically reduce the time required to configure and test REST-based integrations in Arc.
- New DB2 connector for AS400/iSeries systems, enabling integration with IBM mainframe infrastructure.
- Batch API integration for Salesforce and Kintone.
- Custom-branded web forms through the Form connector.
- Full release of the Label connector for comprehensive ZPL label creation.
- Python scripting support in the Script, XML Map, and Events connectors allows customers to flexibly automate and customize workflows. Developers can create custom workflow logic and implement complex transformations efficiently using Python syntax.
Enhanced platform governance
Security and governance remain top priorities in the Q2 2025 release. We've introduced several enhancements to strengthen the platform’s security capabilities, including:
- Role-based access control (RBAC) governance of certificate policies in the Certificates tab, to allow non-admin users to view certificates with appropriate permissions.
- SAML 2.0 integration with enterprise-grade identity management providers like Ping, Okta, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Serial number-based search functionality in the Certificates console for easier management of large certificate inventories.
- Vault endpoints in the admin API to support programmatic Arc Vault management and integration with existing security automations.
Expanded European e-Invoicing support
CData Arc now features expanded support for European e-Invoicing standards with the new PEPPOL connector. The ZUGFeRD connector is now in full release with support for processing multiple PDF attachments. To further ensure trusted international data exchanges, the new Encoding connector provides robust character encoding transformations, ensuring smooth communication between systems with different encoding standards.
