CData Drivers & Connectors 2025 ReleaseWe are excited to announce the 2025 major release of the CData Drivers and Connectors, released for general availability on July 31, 2025. As a major milestone, this release introduces new drivers, expands platform and API support, and delivers significant usability, performance, and documentation improvements across our connectivity portfolio.

The 2025 release marks a strategic upgrade across the CData platform, including new data sources, enhancements for existing sources, and updates based on customer feedback and source-specific API changes. This blog highlights the key enhancements, new additions, and notable changes arriving with this release.

New driver: Adobe Target

We are introducing a new connector for Adobe Target, Adobe’s AI-powered personalization and experimentation platform. This driver allows organizations to integrate testing data directly into analytics workflows, enabling richer insights and more targeted customer experiences.

New edition: Model Context Protocol (MCP) Servers for Mac

We are expanding support for Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) Macs with a new edition of our MCP Servers. This provides native access to our managed driver services on modern macOS devices. Please note this edition is not compatible with Intel x86_64 processors.

From beta to general availability

Several drivers have graduated from beta to full release status, with continued investment in functionality and support:

Major connectivity enhancements

Apache Doris support via MySQL drivers

CData’s MySQL drivers now support Apache Doris, an open-source MPP database known for high performance analytics and real-time querying. This brings seamless BI and data integration to Doris through familiar MySQL interfaces. Learn more.

Shopify GraphQL API support

We’ve expanded support for the Shopify GraphQL API to fill functionality gaps previously only accessible via the REST API. This enables more complete data access for merchants and analytics teams. Learn more.

Adobe Analytics: Universal report view

A new universal report interface is now available for Adobe Analytics, simplifying the way users access and query reporting data. Learn more.

Salesforce enhancements

We’ve added support for the GetBatchRequest endpoint and expanded functionality for Salesforce Data Cloud ingestion workflows. This allows you to integrate and process high volumes of customer data faster and more efficiently. Learn more.

Expanded platform support

  • Python 3.13 support for CData Python Connectors

  • JRE 17.0.13 update for enhanced security and compatibility

  • Drop of EF Core 6 support (end-of-life)

  • Tableau connectors now support customer-provided OAuth configuration

Enhanced documentation experience

We’ve redesigned our technical documentation to improve usability and speed up your development process. Key improvements include:

  • Reorganized layout for easier navigation

  • More detailed connection property descriptions

  • Example queries with required parameters

  • Enhanced data model visuals

Rebranding: Veeva Vault is now Vault CRM

The Veeva Vault connector has been rebranded as Vault CRM and now supports CUD (Create, Update, Delete) operations for Vault Objects, expanding its utility in regulatory and clinical environments.

Driver deprecations and end-of-life

As part of our regular lifecycle management, the following drivers are deprecated or reaching end of life:

  • Microsoft Dynamics GP – End of Life

  • Ponparemall (Japan) – End of Life

  • MF Invoice (Japan) – Dropped in favor of API profile due to major API changes

  • IBM Cloud SQL – End of Support

  • Bing Search – Retires August 2025

  • Sage 50 UK – Sunset September 2025 (still temporarily available for download)

Also deprecated:

  • Python 3.8, 3.9, and 32-bit editions of Python drivers

Key source enhancements

Across our driver ecosystem, we’ve introduced over 40 source-level feature additions. Highlights include:

  • MongoDB: Read binary values via SQL

  • GitHub: New pull request views, custom domain OAuth

  • MySQL: Support for sha256_password authentication plugin

  • CSV: Read from 7-Zip archives

  • SharePoint: Retrieve all files across subsites

  • Google Cloud Storage: SignBlob stored procedure support

  • HubSpot: Full CRUD support for Campaigns; support for Invoices and min/max search

  • REST: Power BI Basic Auth support

  • Apache Kafka: Flatten nested arrays into columns

  • Excel Online: Fetch files from folders

  • Stripe: Upgrade to Events v2 API

  • SendGrid: Subuser API scope support

  • Databricks: Azure MSI authentication

API updates and breaking changes

This release includes over 360 driver updates to align with vendor API changes. Some key updates:

  • QuickBooks Online: Default API version set to 75

  • Google Ads: Upgraded to v19

  • Square: Deprecated V1 API

  • eBay: Removed TopSellingProducts view

  • Google Ads Manager: Default version set to v202502

  • Tableau CRM: Updated to API version 63.0

  • Azure AD: Documentation now refers to Microsoft Entra ID
