We’re excited to announce the release of CData Virtuality v25, a major milestone to help enterprises tackle complex data integration challenges while supporting the growing set of business and technical use cases.
This release delivers critical enhancements across the stack to support modern data architectures, enable higher performance, and streamline operational workflows. We’re also standardizing our versioning to match the broader CData product family, making it easier to track enhancements across the portfolio.
Core platform upgrades: Java 17 and WildFly
The platform runtime has been upgraded to Java 17 LTS, providing access to modern language features, stronger type safety, better GC performance, and improved baseline security. Combined with an upgrade to the latest supported WildFly version, this ensures tighter alignment with Jakarta EE standards and long-term operational stability.
These updates also improve compatibility with enterprise container platforms and CI/CD pipelines, reducing technical debt and streamlining deployment workflows.
Continued evolution of massively parallel processing engine
Our support for massively parallel processing (MPP) continues further in v25. This release adds further foundational work to extend its stability and scalability.
This evolving capability enables more flexible integration with the data lakehouse architecture, supporting engineering teams in optimizing performance for large-scale analytics workloads across data lakes, operational systems, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.

WebUI enhancements for improved usability
The updated WebUI in v25 brings significant improvements to usability and operational clarity:
- Refined navigation structure

- Merged views of data sources and warehouses—simplifying configuration and oversight

- Consistent UI behavior – accelerating day-to-day workflows
These changes make managing complex data pipelines more efficient and reduce onboarding time for data teams working across varied integration scenarios.
Enhanced BigQuery support: Partitioning for performance
BigQuery can now be configured as analytical storage with partitioning support, enabling optimized query planning and reduced scan costs. This improvement leverages native BigQuery capabilities for better query performance and more efficient cost control—especially useful in high-volume analytics scenarios.
