The Google Analytics ODBC Driver is a powerful tool that allows you to connect with live data from Google Analytics, directly from any applications that support ODBC connectivity. Access Google Analytics data like you would a database - access all kinds of real-time site traffic and analysis data through a standard ODBC Driver interface.
Google Analytics ODBC Connectivity Features
- Work with a relational model of your Google Analytics data based on Dimensions and Metrics
- Provides access to a full range of web traffic and analysis data
- Powerful metadata querying enables SQL-like access to non-database sources
- Push down query optimization pushes SQL operations down to the server whenever possible, increasing performance
- Client-side query execution engine, supports SQL-92 operations that are not available server-side
- Connect to live Google Analytics data, for real-time data access with the Google Analytics ODBC Driver
- Full support for data aggregation and complex JOINs in SQL queries
- Secure connectivity through modern cryptography, including TLS 1.2, SHA-256, ECC, etc.
- Seamless integration with leading BI, reporting, and ETL tools and with custom applications via the Google Analytics Connector.
Target Service, API
The driver supports Google Analytics 4 (GA4) APIs. The driver provides a relational view of the Google Analytics profiles in your Google account or across your Google Apps domain.
Schema, Data Model
The driver includes tables that contain often-used dimensions and metrics as columns; additionally, you can customize the table schemas or write your own to combine any valid set of dimensions and metrics. The driver exposes the columns available through the Data API (Google Analytics 4) and the Admin API (Google Analytics 4).
Key Objects
Acquisitions, Engagement, Demographics, Monetization views are the basic views that you can use with setting your own dimentions. We also provide a number of pre-defined views such as AcquisitionsSessionSourcereport, EngagementEventsreport etc.
Operations
Standard SQL with SELECT can be used to query the GA4 views by setting StartDate and EndDate in WHERE clause. You can use the strong Server Side Filtering for both OR and AND operators. You can use JOIN, GROUP BY, ORDER BY, UNION and other standard SQL clauses.
Authentication
OAuth is the standard schema to access Google Analytics 4. You can use the embedded OAuth and just connect and authorize access from your browser without creating your custom OAuth Apps. The driver also supports OAuthJWT, GCPInstanceAccount, and AWSWorkloadIdentity.
Specific feature or properties
If you do not set terms, the driver will obtain data for 30 day duration.
