EDI 210

An EDI 210 is a type of X12 EDI document called a Motor Carrier Freight Details and Invoice. The document is sent by shipment carriers (e.g., FedEx, USPS) to companies that have requested the use of their trucks, planes, and ships to carry goods.

The document functions like an invoice, confirming the details of the services requested and payment remittance. The EDI 210 is sent in response to EDI 204 documents, which a shipping or logistics provider sends to a carrier to request their services. In turn, the carrier is expected to reply with an EDI 210.
