Configure Greenhouse Connectivity for Looker Studio

Connectivity to Greenhouse from Looker Studio is made possible through CData Connect AI. To work with Greenhouse data from Looker Studio, we start by creating and configuring a Greenhouse connection.

  1. Log into Connect AI, click Sources, and then click Add Connection

  5. Enter the necessary authentication properties to connect to Greenhouse.

    You need an API key to connect to Greenhouse. To create an API key, follow the steps below:

    1. Click the Configure icon in the navigation bar and locate Dev Center on the left.
    2. Select API Credential Management.
    3. Click Create New API Key.
      • Set "API Type" to Harvest.
      • Set "Partner" to custom.
      • Optionally, provide a description.
    4. Proceed to Manage permissions and select the appropriate permissions based on the resources you want to access through the driver.
    5. Copy the created key and set APIKey to that value.

  6. Click Save & Test
  7. Navigate to the Permissions tab in the Add Greenhouse Connection page and update the User-based permissions. Updating permissions

With the connection configured, you are ready to connect to Greenhouse data from Looker Studio.

Visualize Live Greenhouse Data from Looker Studio

The steps below outline connecting to CData Connect AI from Looker Studio to create a new Greenhouse data source and build a simple visualization from the data.

  1. Log into Looker Studio, click data sources, create a new data source, and choose CData Connect AI Connector.
  2. Create a new connection in Looker Studio

  5. In the CData Connect AI Connector in Looker Studio select Connections to import from the dropdown and click Next

  9. If needed, modify columns, click Create Report, and add the data source to the report.
