The Bing Ads ODBC Driver is a powerful tool that allows you to connect with live data from Bing Ads, directly from any applications that support ODBC connectivity.

Access Bing Ads data like you would a database - access all kinds of real-time performance and analysis data through a standard ODBC Driver interface.

Connect to Bing Ads Data in DBArtisan

Use wizards in DBArtisan to configure Bing Ads data as a data source.

The CData ODBC Driver for Bing Ads seamlessly integrates Bing Ads data into database management tools like DBArtisan by enabling you to access Bing Ads data as a database. This article shows how to create an data source for Bing Ads in DBArtisan and execute queries. You can then edit data visually and execute standard SQL.

Integrate Bing Ads Data into DBArtisan Projects

If you have not already, first specify connection properties in an ODBC DSN (data source name). This is the last step of the driver installation. You can use the Microsoft ODBC Data Source Administrator to create and configure ODBC DSNs.

The Bing Ads APIs use the OAuth 2 standard. To authenticate, you will need valid Bing Ads OAuth credentials and you will need to obtain a developer token. See the Getting Started section in the Bing Ads data provider help documentation for an authentication guide.

You can then follow the steps below to register Bing Ads data as a database instance in your project:

  1. In DBArtisan, click Data Source -> Register Datasource.
  2. Select Generic ODBC.
  3. Enter a name for the data source and select the DSN.
  4. Finish the wizard to connect to Bing Ads data. Bing Ads entities are displayed in the Datasource Explorer.

You can now work with Bing Ads data as you work with any other database. See the driver help documentation for more information on the queries supported by the Bing Ads API.
