Automate Printify Integration Tasks from PowerShell



Are you in search of a quick and easy way to access Printify data from PowerShell? This article demonstrates how to utilize the Printify Cmdlets for tasks like connecting to Printify data, automating operations, downloading data, and more.

The CData API Driver for ADO.NET is a standard ADO.NET Provider that make it easy to accomplish data cleansing, normalization, backup, and other integration tasks by enabling real-time access to Printify.

The ADO.NET Provider provides a SQL interface for Printify; this tutorial shows how to use the Provider to retrieve Printify data.

Once you have acquired the necessary connection properties, accessing Printify data in PowerShell can be enabled in three steps.

Start by setting the Profile connection property to the location of the Printify Profile on disk (e.g. C:\profiles\Profile.apip). Next, set the ProfileSettings connection property to the connection string for Printify (see below).

In order to authenticate to Printify, you'll need to provide your API Key. To get your API Key navigate to My Profile, then Connections. In the Connections section you will be able to generate your Personal Access Token (API Key) and set your Token Access Scopes. Personal Access Tokens are valid for one year. An expired Personal Access Token can be re-generated using the same steps after it expires. Set the API Key to your Personal Access Token in the ProfileSettings property to connect.

  1. Load the provider's assembly:

  2. Connect to Printify:

    $conn= New-Object System.Data.CData.API.APIConnection("Profile=C:\profiles\Printify.apip;ProfileSettings='APIKey=your_personal_token';") $conn.Open()
  3. Instantiate the APIDataAdapter, execute an SQL query, and output the results:
